How Toy Syndicate works

Toy Syndicate is the canonical record of every designer toy — plus your personal collection, your wishlist, and a community of collectors. Here's how to get the most out of it, and how to reach us.

Getting started

Browse the Database

Every release lives in the Database. Filter by type, category, maker, platform, or artist, and search across all of them at once — punctuation and spacing don't matter.

Build your collection

Hit + Have on any piece to add it to My Collection, or + Want to track it on your Wishlist.

Show it off

Upload shelfies to My Display, then pin the exact pieces in each photo so visitors can tap through to the item.

Frequently asked

What counts as a “piece” in the Database?
Any collectible release — designer toys, sofubi, blind boxes, custom toys, original art, and art prints — attributed to its artist(s), maker, platform, and series where known. Collaborations credit every artist involved.
How do I add something to my collection or wishlist?
Hover any item card (or open the item page) and click the heart to Want it or the plus to mark that you Have it. Your counts and pages update instantly, and you can manage everything from My Collection and My Wishlist.
How do display photos and item tagging work?
On My Display, add photos of your setup. Open any photo to zoom in, then choose Tag an item, click the spot in the photo where a piece sits, and pick it from your collection. A pin drops there, and anyone viewing the photo can see the tagged items in the side panel and jump to each item's page.
Can I edit catalog information?
Yes — the Database is community-verified. Suggested edits become contributions that are reviewed before they go live. You can track the status of your submissions on your profile's Contributions tab.
What images can I upload?
Any common image format, including HEIC/HEIF straight from an iPhone. Uploads are automatically converted to WebP and optimized, so you don't have to convert anything first.
How does search work?
Search looks across item names, artists, makers, and platforms at once, and ignores punctuation and spacing — so “Mr Bone” finds “Mr. Bone” and everything on that platform.
What are the badges on profiles?
Badges recognize roles and standing in the community — for example verified artists and makers, moderators, and administrators.
